Develop your body and mind – practice parkour! In recent years, parkour, originally from France, has spread all over the world and parkour courses are increasingly springing up in Slovakia.

Parkour is a discipline based on the ability to overcome obstacles safely, smoothly and effectively using your own body, with an emphasis on practical strength, endurance and balance. A very important part is creativity, fluidity and precision with which obstacles are overcome. The art of parkour also lies in the efficiency with which the traceur (person performing parkour) moves – it is not primarily about overcoming the route in the shortest possible time, but also with the least energy consumption and the most direct possible path.

The most common techniques are running, jumping, climbing, scrambling, balancing using elements from other sports disciplines.

But be careful! Don't confuse parkour with dangerous stunts, taking risks, or showing off.

Parkour courses are ideal for sports fields, parks, or urban areas.
